It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, everywhere you go! Flakes have fallen and stores are brimming with Christmas. There are just 12 days until Thanksgiving and 38 days until Christmas Eve!
I love Christmas so much! We celebrate the birth of Jesus, spend time with family and enjoy so many pretty things decorating streets, storefronts and homes. It really does feel like “the most wonderful time of the year”! I dream of turning my home in to Christmas wonderland. A tree in every room. Lights, sparkles, bows and bells tastefully placed on walls, surfaces and doorknobs. I am talking box up everything we usually have out and replace it with Christmas decorations. And not just any decorations but handcrafted ones. So far, we have started to collect handcrafted Christmas ornaments from every vacation we take. I hope to one day have enough to decorate one of my many Christmas trees! I am also attempting to craft my own decorations. There are just too many tempting ideas on Pinterest making it hard to not jump in!
Typically I wait to think about Christmas until after the turkey has been consumed. I even like to wait until the first weekend of December to set up and trim the tree. This year, I find myself breaking my norms. I am singing to the Christmas music playing in the stores and my craft space has been invaded with Christmas materials. (Most of which I bought last year… shhhh!) To help clear things out I am embracing my love of Christmas and giving myself permission to begin the Christmas season early. Starting now, I am making it my goal to post a Christmas themed how-to every week through December 25th. To kick off this endeavor I am sharing with you my cranberry filled glass ornament.

But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.
